The execution team your new venture needs, through one contract.

HAKKI assembles the people for sales, marketing and back office, manages them as a team, and carries the work through to results. Built for new-business units inside large companies, and for the companies that spin out of them.

When this fits

  • A continuation review comes every three to six months, and each one needs visible progress and a review deck. The time to actually build the business is what gets cut.
  • You want to staff a new venture, but every contractor needs its own round of internal approval, and the launch slows to a crawl.
  • Your core members have business-development backgrounds only, and are hunting through their own networks for sales, marketing, engineering and design people to build a team.
  • You have the people, but they are not working as a team. The venture lead ends up chasing each person, and the load never drops.
  • You have just spun out, and the company has no accounting, payroll or contract-management function yet.

What HAKKI provides

An assembled execution team

We select people for sales, marketing, back office and fundraising to match the stage of the venture, and bring them in as one team. HAKKI has four staff and ten professional members who work with us for exactly this.

Management of that team

Having people is not the same as having progress. HAKKI sets priorities, runs weekly progress reviews, defines what success looks like and reports on it. We sit directly under the venture lead as the owner of execution.

Standing up company functions

A fresh spin-out has no accounting, payroll or contract management. We build these while the venture keeps moving, rather than before it starts.

Scaling up and down

Headcount and skills change with the venture. Start small, add people as validation progresses, swap roles if the direction changes. The contract stays the same; only its contents move.

How it works

  1. A conversation

About thirty minutes on where the venture stands and what you want to hand over. It does not need to be tidy.

  2. Team and quote

We propose the roles, headcount and time commitment, with a monthly fee to match.

  3. One contract

A single services agreement with HAKKI. Your internal approval happens once.

  4. Start

We assemble the initial team and begin. We start moving first and refine as we go.

  5. Monthly review

Each month we look at results and the shape of the team, and adjust headcount or roles where needed.

How pricing works

A monthly fee based on the roles, headcount and time commitment of the team. We quote after the first conversation. We will also show how the fee compares with hiring each contractor separately, including the internal time spent on recruiting, contracting and management.

Case

BuddyBoard (a spin-out from Brother Industries)

A ten-person execution team, from internal venture to independent company

BuddyBoard began as a new business inside Brother Industries. HAKKI's involvement started in September 2023 with one sales manager and has grown to a team of ten: one lead, three in marketing, three in sales, three in back office. After the May 2026 spin-out, HAKKI also built the accounting process the parent company's consolidated reporting requires.

Questions we are often asked

Who is the counterparty to the contract?

HAKKI Inc., under a single services agreement. HAKKI holds the agreements with each professional member on the team.

Can team members be replaced part-way through?

Yes. When the venture changes direction or needs different skills, HAKKI changes the people. The contract does not need to change.

Can the team work alongside our own employees?

Yes. We sit directly under the venture lead and work as one team with your people, in your meetings and your tools.

Do you work with companies outside Okinawa?

Yes. Most of the work is remote, with visits when they help. Most of our current clients are in Okinawa, and we work with companies elsewhere in Japan, such as BuddyBoard, in exactly the same way.

Can we start small?

Yes. Most engagements begin with one or two people and grow as validation progresses. BuddyBoard started with a single sales manager.

Tell us where the venture stands. Thirty minutes is enough.

You do not need to know yet what you want to hand over. We will listen, then tell you what team HAKKI could put together and roughly what it would cost per month. We reply within two business days.
