So people building new ventures can focus on what only they can do.
HAKKI takes on the operational work a young company needs. We are based in Naha, Okinawa, and at the OIST Innovation Incubator.
What we do
HAKKI Inc. provides sales, marketing, back-office and fundraising execution to new-business units inside large companies and to startups, most of them research-driven. Rather than placing people one at a time, we come in as an assembled team with the roles the business needs, and we manage that team through to results.
For corporate new-business units, this means an execution team sourced through a single contract with HAKKI. We have worked with BuddyBoard, a spin-out from Brother Industries, since September 2023, today with a team of ten.
For startups, it means taking on the work that only happens in Japanese, in English: bank-loan applications with Okinawa Development Finance Corporation and regional banks, accounting and labor administration with licensed professionals, and first sales in Japan. Most of our founders are connected to OIST and are not Japanese; some are.

From the CEO
A continuation review every three to six months, and the scramble before each one to show progress and prepare the deck. People who want to move a business forward, consumed by preparing to be allowed to continue. At Mitsui, I was one of them.
